GUEST FEEDBACK
----------
Hi Bob
Hope you had a nice cruise?
We had a LOVELY time at Jamahome- what a beautiful place...we did ask Claudette if you wanted to sell but alas she said no!!!
Claudette and Pauline looked after us very well, tried hard to accomodate our fussy kids tastes (!) and put up with all the noise!
Thanks also to Cherry & mad driver Erron!!!
We asked Claudette if Jamahome was free at Xmas but no, so we have booked Primrose Path, have to go on the second row but it
will have to do!!!! I love Silver Sands so much that we booked it all while we were there - couldn't bear to go home without knowing
we were coming back!!!.... and we cant come Easter 09 because we are going on a Carribean Cruise via New York
( I would rather be at SS!)
Anyway , thanks again for everything. I would recommend Jamahome anytime but its quite nice to keep the secret of Silver Sands
and go to a place that isnt full of Brits!!!
Regards & look forward to contacting you in future years!

Dear Bob,
I just want to tell you how much we enjoyed the experience of renting your home in Jamaica.
Your house is exquisitely sited and one of the best configurations I have ever seen for accommodating a large family.
Claudette and Pauline were extremely gracious, and as you promised, both are very good cooks.
The beach was fantastic for babies and offered days of surf and calm for the adults.
Thank you for your patience with the details in our planning for this trip.

Hi, Bob--
Our week at Jamahome was wonderful. Claudette and Pauline were as helpful and gracious as ever, the place was in
immaculate shape, and the newly cleaned waterfront was such a pleasure. We went snorkeling from there every morning
and it was a delight.
Hopefully we will return again for the same week next year. Please let me know the deadline for my decision.
Flight reservations aren't available until the late spring or early summer.
Thanks again.

Hi Bob,
Thanks so much for checking up on us. We had a wonderful time. All went well of course until we got stuck in Dallas due to weather.
Not the end of a beautiful week that we had planned but Jamahome was everything we had hoped. We will look forward to coming back
again and bringing our kids with us next time to enjoy the beauty of Jamaica. The staff was wonderful and we made good use of Erron
to see the sights. The only thing missing was wireless Internet connections so that would be my only suggestion. We do so much business
by internet these days that high speed is essential to file transfers, etc.
Thanks so much for sharing your Jamaica Home with us.

We have vacationed at Jamahome for the past nine years and we're going again this year. The
home is spacious. Bedrooms are air conditioned with window units. There is a nice screened sunroom that
overlooks the water, although you cannot swim right at the house [however, toddlers can wade there]; the
swimming beach is a 2-minute walk. There's a TV, DVD player and CD player, and plenty of books and games.
Jamahome is in a secure, gated community, and the gorgeous beach is private to the Silver Sands community,
so there are no panhandlers or unwelcome nuisances at the beach.
Claudette is the host and housekeeper. She prepares two meals [breakfast and dinner] and a mid-day snack
for us, because we spend most of the day at the beach. She is a traditional Jamaican cook and her food
is spectacular: jerk chicken, lobster caught that very day, fresh fish, beef - whatever you like. She also
makes an excellent pitcher of rum punch. She does laundry as well. On a typical day, she shows up about
8:00 to 9:00, makes and serves breakfast, then does housekeeping duties and prepares dinner while we spend
the day at the beach. We come back at 3:00 or so, she has a light snack ready, then she leaves for the day
at 4:00 or so with dinner warming in the oven. We serve it ourselves when we're ready. Claudette shops for
this food at the local market, and at the end of our stay we settle up with her in U.S. cash.
Claudette is deeply religious, and we do not ask her to come to Jamahome on Sundays. It's not necessary:
we can either feast on leftovers [she prepares more than enough to tide us over] or we could have something
from the burger-bar at the beach - but we've never done so.
You can arrange for a fishing or snorkeling expedition if the seas are not rough; we've done both with a very nice man named Errol. You meet Errors small boat at
a dock near the beach in the early morning and head on out to a reef, where the tropical fish are spectacular,
or to several nice spots for fishing. We've only had one expedition off-site; one year we went to Duns
River Falls. Erron, Claudette's husband, has a van and will take you anywhere you want to go. We don't head out that much
because we like the peace and quiet of Jamahome [and Claudette's food is so good, why go to a restaurant?].
Erron takes you to and from the airport. It's about a 45-minute ride, roads bumpy at times. If you
want to enjoy wine or liquor during your visit, your best bet is to ask Erron to stop at a store along the
way. At Silver Sands, there is a gift shop and a market where you can buy wine, spirits, and general
groceries. But it is unlikely that you will need anything which Claudette cannot provide.
We usually go late in the year, just before the high season. All this is from our experiences at that
time of year. Hope this helps.
